The Team
Having grown up on family cattle properties in both Ingham and Charters Towers, Callan has maintained a lifelong passion for cattle and bovine reproduction. After graduating in 2013, he was awarded the prestigious Don Kerr Memorial Award in recognition of his academic excellence in Cattle Medicine. Following graduation, Callan joined Tropical Vets, became a shareholder in 2014, and later co-founded Gener8 Reproduction in 2020.
He has played a key role in expanding Tropical Vets’ large animal services, spearheading the development of Gener8 and fostering the strategic partnership between the two entities. Callan has earned a strong professional reputation as a leader in the field of bovine reproduction, frequently speaking at industry events and conferences. He is particularly passionate about improving access to advanced reproductive services for the northern beef industry—bringing capabilities to the region that were once limited or unavailable.
Callan remains committed to the ongoing growth and innovation of both Tropical Vets and Gener8 Reproduction. Alongside his professional pursuits, he is also developing his own Brahman stud and raising three young children—Michael, Sophie, and Charlie—with his wife and fellow veterinarian, Dr. Kelly Solari.
