Our practice began in Innisfail in the early 1970’s. In the late 1980’s we began regular trips to Tully. Over time we have grown and expanded both in the number of vets, premises and services that we provide. In the early 1990’s we started a full time clinic in Tully. Since then we expanded into providing services in Babinda, Cardwell and Mission Beach at regular intervals.
In 2011 we expanded into the Ingham area by purchasing Dr Paul Rowlands’ Vet Surgery and then in early 2015 we purchased Ingham Vet Clinic from owner Dr Ian Merritt.
In January 2017 we opened a new clinic at North Shore, Townsville to provide small and large animals services for the Townsville and Burdekin regions, then purchased Dr Fred Murray's business in Ayr, to be able to continue the services of a permanent clinic in the Burdekin area opening in July, 2018.
Most recent, and at the highest altitude, has been our purchase of Ready Vet on the Atherton Tablelands, from Dr Matt and Cat Robinson. Opening in April, 2021, we are excited to continue and grow this lovely clinic and adopt her staff.
Our practice consists of 20 veterinarians. Whilst each vet has his or her own special interests, we all enjoy the challenge of providing veterinary attention to the range of species we are presented with.
Each of our main clinics have in-house blood pathology machines, digital xray machines, ultrasounds, endoscopy units, specialised dental equipment plus a lot more specialised equipment so that we can offer you and your pet a high quality Veterinary service.
We offer a 24 hours Emergency Service from our main surgeries; Innisfail, Tully, Ingham, North Shore Townsville and Ayr. Our services span from Cairns in the north to the Burdekin Shire in the south.
Our aim is to ‘Provide caring and competent veterinary services to all creatures, great and small.’
